Breaking: Dolphins are signing LB Jimmy Ciarlo to their practice squad

Some stories in football are bigger than stats or standings, they’re about resilience, heart, and the refusal to let a dream die. For Jimmy Ciarlo, that story just added another chapter.
After being released earlier this year by the Buffalo Bills, Ciarlo found a new home in the AFC East.
Ciarlo, a 24-year-old West Point graduate, put his military service on hold to chase a lifelong dream, a shot in the NFL. His story resonated deeply with Bills fans earlier this year, especially after Hard Knocks captured the emotional moment when he called home from Highmark Stadium, overwhelmed with pride after learning he made the Bills roster.
Though his stint on the active roster was brief, Ciarlo made the most of it. He shined during the preseason, notching four tackles against the New York Giants, including a memorable hit that had his teammates and coaches fired up.
Now, playing for the Dolphins, Ciarlo gets another chance to keep his NFL journey alive. The practice squad may not be glamorous, but it’s a vital piece of every NFL team and for a player like Ciarlo, it’s another opportunity to prove he belongs.
Whether it’s on the field, in the locker room, or during another heartfelt Hard Knocks moment, Jimmy Ciarlo has already shown what makes him special: discipline, grit, and a deep love for the game.
