Three Bowling Green Football Players arrested and charged with assault

Bowling Green State University spokesperson Colleen Rerucha confirmed that three members of the football team—sophomore wide receiver and punt returner Brennan Ridley, 20, redshirt freshman wide receiver Caleb Goodloe, 19, and junior fullback Leone “Leo” Kemp, 21—were arrested early Sunday morning and charged with misdemeanor assault.
The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. at Ziggy’s, located at 300 E. Wooster St. Police also issued the players a criminal trespass warning following the altercation.
According to a Bowling Green Police Department incident report obtained by BG Falcon Media, Ridley and Goodloe are accused of assaulting a bar bouncer, with video footage allegedly showing both players pushing and striking the victim multiple times. When another individual attempted to intervene, Kemp allegedly placed that person in a chokehold, an action that was also captured on video, per the report.
It will be interesting to see what happens, but for the time being it looks like the players will be held out until it is sorted out.
