Are the Eagles the Biggest Fluke in the NFL?

Fantasy Football Injuries to Keep an Eye on for Week 4 of the NFL
Are the Eagles the Biggest Fluke in the NFL? By Lukas Wahlstrom

Everyone thought the Eagles were built to dominate again. With Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and two-star receivers, most fans saw them as Super Bowl favorites. But after a shocking loss to the Denver Broncos in week 5, things don’t look the same. The cracks are showing, and Philly might not be the powerhouse people expected, they might be the biggest fluke in the NFL right now.

Last year, the Eagles could run the ball all day. This year? Not so much. Saquon Barkley only has 267 yards in five games. That’s weak for a star running back. Even worse, he got only six carries against Denver. If the run game isn’t scary, defenses don’t have to respect it, and that hurts the whole offense.

The Eagles keep beating themselves. In the Denver game, they had big plays wiped out by penalties like an illegal shift on 4th down. Stuff like that kills momentum. Good teams stay sharp. Fluke teams make mistakes that cost them wins.

Right now, the Eagles’ offense looks lost. The timing is off, the plays feel forced, and Jalen Hurts snd his receivers aren’t always on the same page. Even stars like A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith haven’t looked like their usual selves. It feels like they’re just not clicking.

Their schedule isn’t easy. They’ve got some tough matchups coming up like the Packers, Lions, Cowboys, Chargers, Commanders twice, and the Bills. If they keep playing sloppy, they could fall apart quickly towards the end of the year. The Broncos loss might not be the last one that surprises people.

A.J. Brown already looks frustrated, and you can tell the offense isn’t having fun. When the stars aren’t happy and the team’s making mistakes, that’s a bad combo.

The Eagles still have talent, but right now, they don’t look like a Super Bowl team. Until they fix the mistakes and get the offense moving again, they’re looking like the biggest fluke in the NFL.
