Bills Sign Punter Mitch Wishnowsky

We are learning the Buffalo Bills are signing veteran punter Mitch Wishnowsky to bolster their special teams unit. Wishnowsky will replace the injured Cameron Johnston.
Background: Wishnowsky’s Status and Track Record
Mitch Wishnowsky, an Australian punter, was released earlier this offseason by the San Francisco 49ers after six seasons with the team. Over his career, he has punted in over 90 games, with many of his punts landing inside the opponent’s 20-yard line and relatively few touchbacks. In 2024 he was hampered by a back injury that limited his availability late in the season.
Following his release, Wishnowsky was also signed to the Washington Commanders’ practice squad earlier this September.
