What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2026 NFL Draft

  • I’m an underrated combination of size and speed. Being able to put up 25+ reps on the bench press allows me to knock tackles back with the bullrush, which also helps to set up my ghost rush or spin counters off of that. With that being said, my get-off on the snap is what I believe is the best part of my game. And this has only gotten better the more game experience that I gain.

What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?

  • There’s not a prospect in the world who’s willing to push it to the limit the way I am. I’ve been the underdog my entire life and that has only pushed me harder. This situation will be no different, coming from a small FCS school in the Midwest. However, all I’ve known throughout my life is putting the head down and getting to work. And I’m going to approach this season and post-collegiate training no differently.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?

  • Mental health would be my chosen cause to donate too. It’s an area everyone has to struggle with at some point in their lives. I’ve been unfortunate to witness firsthand in several cases the true damage that mental health problems could cause on an otherwise “normal” person. It’s a scary disease that doesn’t get nearly enough attention.

Who was your role model?

  • My role model has been my father from a very young age. He’s the reason I got into football in the first place, and has been by my side pushing me every step of the way. Through all the adversities in life he has shown me the meaning of perseverance.

Who is your favorite NFL team?

  • The Chicago Bears. Bear Down!

Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?

  • Tyson Garrett. Absolute beast at the middle linebacker position.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

  • Fake toughness. You see it everywhere nowadays. Everybody likes to talk tough and hide behind their screens in todays society until it’s actually time to be about it and back it up.

Who is your favorite teacher ever?

  • Preston Gordon, my current D-line coach. I haven’t gotten to spend as much time with him as I would like, as he just took over this winter, however that’s one of the things I’m most excited about for this upcoming season. The knowledge of the edge rusher position is like nothing I’ve ever heard before. And he really does put the time in for every single man in the room.

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

  • The entirety of my sophomore through junior year is the definition of adversity. I was left off the travel squad as a sophomore, even though I believed I was the most talented player in the room. This pushed me to put my head down and work harder than I ever thought possible. I was able to rise up, put on twenty pounds, and jump out as the leader in sacks and TFLs for the entire conference through the first five games of my junior season. I was well on my way to all conference honors and potentially even more, when I suffered an unfortunate sports hernia injury in practice. It required surgical repair, and I had to miss the remainder of the season after finally getting to where I knew I deserved to be. (This injury has since 100% healed and is absolutely no longer effecting me, with zero risk of reinjury). But this taught me a lesson I needed to learn, the work never stops. And I have since treated every day like I’m still not seen as good enough to even make the travel squad. This has propelled me to new heights I had never thought I could reach.

If you could have any franchise restaurant in your house what would it be?

  • Definitely a Chipotle. I can never get enough of those bowls. No better post-lift meal on the planet!

What is your favorite snack food?

  • I’ve always been a huge fan of those supreme taco quest protein chips. They’re hard to find, but hit the spot every single time. You never have to feel bad after eating them either, because the macros are great.

What is your degree in?

  • I earned a finance degree from the Lacy School of Business at Butler University

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

  • Michael Jordon, Tom Brady, and Walter Payton. Some of the all-time great winner, and it would be so awesome to pick their brains to see how they got to the highest level of success in professional sports.

What is your biggest weakness?

  • I’d say my biggest weakness has been being overly critical of myself. I hold myself to a high standard, and sometimes I focus too much on what I did wrong rather than what I did right. Early in my career, that mindset helped me improve quickly, but I’ve learned that it’s just as important to recognize progress and stay mentally balanced. I’ve worked with coaches to manage that better, and now I use that drive in a more productive way. To stay hungry, but not get in my own head.
