Breaking: Commanders sign Zimbabwean Rugby Star TJ Maguranyanga

The Washington Commanders are signing Zimbabwean Rugby star TJ Maguranyanga to a three year deal. The 6’5, 235 pound star rugby player crushed the IPP Pro Day at the University of South Florida and three workouts scheduled, but he did not get out of the first workout.
Maguranyanga was selected by the IPP Program which was initiated in 2017, and serves to indentify exceptional talents worldwide and give them an opportunity to develop into NFL superstars.
The ultimate goal is to get them a shot on an NFL roster, and TJ has already secured a roster spot.
The 21-year-old was selected along 13 others to train for 10-weeks in Bradenton, Florida at the IMG Academy. They then had a pro day at USF and TJ crushed it and tested very well.
Maguranyanga made waves in France in the world of Rugby. He earned a ton of international recognition for his performances in rugby Sevens at the Africa Men’s Sevens in Mauritius.
Maguaranyanga becomes the second Zimbabwean player to play in the NFL. The first was Nate Landman. Sandman whose father played international rugby for Zimbabwe has been very solid for the Atlanta Falcons.
