What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2025 NFL Draft?
What makes me a top prospect at my position is the ability to plug the middle and stop the run. Having the ability to go sideline to sideline as well, I feel these attributes are definitely key factors to disrupt the game.
What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?
One thing NFL teams should know about me is that I’m always watching film. Being a LB your the QB of the defense so being able to know tendencies and formations hinting at what the opposing team is running is vital, when making adjustments and being able to adapt to what’s coming.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
If I could donate to any cause in the world it would be to donate to single mothers. No one understands how hard it is being a single mother and the amount of strength you need to raise kids on your own. As a single parent, my mother sacrificed a lot to get me where I am today. She did everything she could possibly do to make sure I had great life growing up and always made sure myself and my younger sister didn’t have a worry in the world.
Who was your role model?
My role model was and still is my mother. She taught me how to be a man and all the principles of hard work. She showed me that whatever I wanted or dreamed of I had to work hard to get it nothing would be handed to me. Anytime she wanted something she worked night and day to get it, and the main message she taught me was that someone else is working ten times harder for your dream remember that and use it as motivation to get where your trying to go.
Who is your favorite NFL team?
My favorite NFL team is the New Orleans Saints. Before my mother retired from the military I moved around a lot so I wasn’t able to claim my hometown, but one day as a kid I was watching the Saints and Drew Brees threw for over 500 yards and ever since I watched that game I’ve been a Saints fan since.
Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?
I feel my most underrated teammate is Nick Carter. At defensive tackle being in the trenches he doesn’t get as much credit doing the dirty work to make the job for everyone much easier. Simply watching the film, you’ll see how he constantly disrupts games with his power and finesse getting to the QB and stopping the run.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
My biggest pet peeve is when there just pure negativity. It’s to much going on in the world to always be angry and ungrateful for what you have. I’ve been blessed with the ability to travel and help kids around the world with nonprofits and seeing how happy they are and grateful despite not having much really inspired me. Despite them not having the ability to go to school or even some days not knowing when they’ll have their next meal, they’re still always positive and happy with what they do have.
Who is your favorite teacher ever?
My favorite teacher ever is my high school football coach who was also my biology teacher. He always pushed me to be better even in class, letting it be known I should never be satisfied and always push to be better. He never took it easy even in class when it was only two of students in there.
Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?
I would say the hardest time in my life is when I moved to Germany as a 15-year-old freshman. it was tough because I had never lived out of the country before, going from Vegas to a little village called Grosslitgen Germany it was tough. It was definitely a blessing in disguise, but having never been out the country and moving to one the first time I left, it was hard. Being a non-English-speaking country, and living in a farm area I wanted to leave. But the way I was able to overcome it was by adapting to the culture. Trying foods, traveling more, It was the best time of my life living over there.
If you could have any franchise restaurant in your house what would it be?
It would definitely have to be Chick-fil-a, the chicken sandwiches they make I could never get tired of off. Definitely free days or even after a hard practice or game I go to Chick-fil-a and get one or two chicken sandwiches along with a sunjoy lemonade to top it off.
What is your favorite snack food?
My favorite snack food would have to be mangos.
What is your degree in?
My undergraduate degree is in communications, which I completed in April 2024. I’m currently completing my Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree which I’ll be completing in May 2025.
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?
If I could have dinner with three people, it would be my grandfather who passed away while I was young, my mother, and my younger sister. I chose these three because my mother always tells me stories about my grandfather, and how he shaped her into who she is today. From the stories and what she has told me, my grandfather, and her are the same exact person. I definitely would love to get more wisdom from him and my mother at the same time while having my younger sister there as well.
What is your biggest weakness?
I’d say my biggest weakness is always wanting to be right, wanting to win and never losing or failing. Over the years I’ve gotten better at understanding that to be better you have to fail at times, need to have the ability to accept defeat. Mentally it helped me realize that if I lose or fail, something, overall it’s not a complete fail. It’s good to fail and lose at times because it helps you to understand what you need to improve on, and what to do to avoid that happening again. It has definitely been a weakness for me, but I would say after learning more accepting it, it would be more of a strength now.
