What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2025 NFL Draft?
My unique blend of strength, agility, and versatility makes me stand out. I’m good at maintaining the attack point by disengaging blockers with strong base and excellent hand skills. My pass-rushing presence is usually disruptive, even if I don’t always rack up sacks. I’m good at a number of techniques, such as a powerful bull rush and the ability to bend past blocks to generate pressure. Along with being a skilled pass rusher, I also take satisfaction in being a dependable defender against the pass and the run. I’m constantly paying attention to my technique, whether it’s shedding blocks or positioning myself for the best possible coverage. I am prepared to contribute at the next level because I am a full and well-rounded player who is consistent in all aspects of the game and can adjust to different schemes.
What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?
NFL teams should be aware of my relentless drive and my unwavering dedication that I give every play everything I have. I never give up, whether it’s going up against double teams or trying to finish a play in the fourth quarter. The foundation of my strategy is this mindset, which I think separates me from other people. In addition, I am a student of the game; I am always improving my technique by studying films and paying attention to the details of every play. Being the greatest version of myself every day is something I’m dedicated to because I know that success in the NFL requires constant progress.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
I would contribute to programs that raise awareness and provide support for mental health, especially for athletes who frequently deal with certain challenges. Although players’ mental and emotional struggles are frequently disregarded, the physical demands of sports are widely recognized. In high-performance settings like athletics, it is especially important to normalize discussions about mental health and to give tools for mental well-being. As someone who has experienced hardship in both my personal and athletic life, I wish to support programs that assist others in overcoming these obstacles and eliminating the stigma associated with mental health.
Who was your role model?
My father serves as my role model. He taught me the values of diligence, perseverance, and honesty. I have been inspired by his way of living, which is to never give up, remain modest, and keep going despite obstacles. He showed me the value of resilience by overcoming obstacles in both his personal and professional life. He has consistently been there to provide advice and direction, and I use the things he taught me every day, both on and off the field.
Who is your favorite NFL team?
The Detroit Lions are my favorite NFL team. Living in Detroit with my family, I witnessed the Lions’ constant loyalty and the team’s perseverance every single week. I respect the team’s tenacity, particularly in the last few years as they’ve recovered and made remarkable progress. It has been wonderful to watch their development, particularly the cultural shift. Seeing a squad that represents the spirit of its city one that never gives up and constantly keeps moving forward, regardless of the situation is inspiring.
Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?
Jordan Porter #33 DL is the most underappreciated teammate at Bowling Green. He regularly arrives at practice each day and gives it his all during games and practice. He is an individual who contributes to the team’s success but doesn’t always receive the credit he deserves because of his leadership, attention to detail, and the way he stands up when needed. All of us are motivated to improve our own play by his hard work and commitment.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
People not giving it their all is my biggest pet peeve. Because football is a team sport, every play counts. When someone doesn’t put in their best effort, it affects the team as a whole in addition to their own performance. I hold everyone accountable and expect that they all work with the same commitment and dedication. It irritates me when individuals fail to see the significance of each play and the teamwork required for success.
Who is your favorite teacher ever?
Mr. Radcliffe, my high school teacher, was my favorite. He had an outstanding ability for simplifying difficult ideas and making them seem achievable, which inspired me to enjoy solving problems. He taught me how to tackle problems with a realistic and logical viewpoint in addition to teaching me history. He inspired me to strive for greatness in whatever I do, which I take with me in my academic and athletic pursuits. His love of teaching and commitment to his students were noticeable.
Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?
I started playing football with no experience, which was the toughest thing for me to overcome. I had to educate myself what discipline, hard effort, and devotion really meant because I came from a background where I knew almost nothing about the game. There were moments when I thought I was up against an impossible challenge. However, I continued to challenge myself, learn new things every day, and never give up. Even though I didn’t seem to be moving forward, I had to maintain my attention and faith in the process. Because of that fight, I learned the importance of mental strength and perseverance, and I realized that everything is possible if you put in the effort.
If you could have any franchise restaurant in your house, what would it be?
For me, it would be Chipotle. They serve flavorful, fresh, and personalized meals. I like that they focus on high-quality ingredients and provide a range of healthy options, such as bowls and burritos. With its varied menu and consistently high quality food, Chipotle would be a great match in my house, whether I’m looking for a fast dinner after working out or a filling meal with family or friends.
What is your favorite snack food?
Trail mix is my go to snack. Because it has the right amount of protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats, it’s the best option for maintaining my energy levels during longer workouts or games.
What is your degree in?
Exercise science is the degree I’m in. Understanding the human body and its potential, particularly as it relates to sports performance, has always been an interest of mine. I can improve my own fitness and have a greater understanding of biomechanics, injury prevention, and general physical health with this degree. For me, it has been important to find a balance between academics and sports since I think that understanding the subject will help me perform at my best and help others in doing the same, both on and off the field.
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?
If I could have dinner with three people, I’d choose:
- My father, so that I can keep learning from his life lessons and knowledge.
- Michael Jordan, to learn about his philosophy and the factors that pushed him to the top of basketball. I would also be interested in learning more about his constant drive for excellence.
- JJ Watt, who has shown to be a resilient and outstanding leader. I’d be interested in learning more about his methods of leading people and his experiences overcoming obstacles.
What is your biggest weakness?
I’m usually the hardest on myself. I constantly strive for improvement and excellence. While doubt can sometimes come from that drive, I’ve learned to use it as motivation to keep going. My ability to be patient and keep my eyes on the goal has improved. Keeping my focus on the long-term objective, being tough, and trusting the process are all crucial.
