What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Growing up in a rural area as a kid there wasn’t much to do but play sports. I played multiple sports like football, basketball, and baseball. While playing football I realized how good I was at it and I just gained love for it.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Two of my favorite moments from my football life is when I broke my high school’s single game rushing records with 311 yds. and 4 touchdowns. Secondly, is when I just recently broke my college and conference single game rushing records with 402 yds. rushing and 5 touchdowns.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My little sister inspires me the most. She inspires me the most because she was diagnosed with Autism when she was 2 years of age and I’ve watched her struggle and overcome so many obstacles at such a young age. My sister’s situation taught me that if you have faith and give it to God you can overcome anything. Special thanks to my mom for being so patient and not giving up.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
The thing I love the most about football is that football create bonds that form into a brotherhood. I’ve built so many relationships with my coaches, teammates, trainers, etc. It’s just a positive atmosphere and it’s fun to be around.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
I would like to hang out with Le’Veon Bell. I mimic my game after his and he was my favorite running back while he was playing. I would soak up as much knowledge and learn as much as I can in that day.
What are your favorite things about playing football for William Jewell?
It’s bigger than football with William Jewell. My coaches, teammates, and community welcomed me with open arms. Moving from Mississippi to the Midwest was hard and they made me feel like I was home and that I belong here. So my favorite thing about playing here is that it’s a family vibe.
What should we know about Keaundre McCullough the person?
Somethings you should know about me is that I want to be a therapist once I’m done playing football. I’ve always been that person to help get people through their situations. I also found a new hobby making music.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
My favorite run schemes are inside zone and pin & pull. I like to run inside zone because I like to attack the line of scrimmage vertically and set up my blocking to make defenders choose the gaps that I want to them to fit and it helps me create big plays.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I handle my challenges in life and football by walking through faith and not by sight. I believe everything happens for a reason. No matter how hard you work for something or how much love you have for something, it’s still not guaranteed for things to go the way you expect or wanted. That’s why you have to keep faith, leave it in Gods hands, and don’t worry.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A team would get a smart, hard working, high character, and team first player. They will also get a player who has the ability to make defenders miss in tight and open spaces, great hands, speed, balance, and aggressiveness.
What stands out about your film the most?
Watching my film I feel like the thing that stands out the most is that I have the ability to make defenders miss in open field or small holes. I make moves going full speed without having to break speed and the defenders never see it coming.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
The most underrated player I’ve played with is my former teammate Deldrionn Amos. We played JUCO ball together and I watched him work so hard to become the best version of himself on and off the field. I feel like he never got the respect or attention he deserved on the field.
