Fantasy Football Injuries to Keep an Eye on for Week 4 of the NFL
As Week 4 of the Fantasy Football season approaches, managing injuries becomes crucial for both seasoned veterans and first-time players. Injuries can drastically shift the landscape of a matchup, turning a potential win into a last-minute scramble for waiver-wire replacements. Key players sidelined or returning from injury can influence lineup decisions, making it vital to stay updated.
In this article, we’ll break down the top injury concerns for Week 4, highlighting which players you should monitor closely, who might be worth benching, and potential replacements to consider for your fantasy team. Keep your roster sharp, and make sure you’re ready for game day!
Quarterbacks
- Jordan Love has been limited in practice after suffering a sprained MCL in the season opener. He could return soon, but it is likely he will miss another week or two.
- Brock Purdy has some back soreness, but she should be fine this week against the Patriots
- If the Chargers are smart they will play Taylor Heinicke against the Chiefs, rather than push Justin Herbert who is dealing with an ankle injury. X-Rays were negative on Herbert but he should be cautious this week.
Running Backs
- Kenneth Walker is dealing with an oblique injury and while they seem optimistic he could return this week, will he get a full workload? Keep an eye on practice today to see if he was a full participant.
- Joe Mixon is another one to keep an eye on. The Texans running back did not play last week, but if he practices today, he could be good to go. He is dealing with an ankle injury.
- Steelers running back Jaylen Warren was limited with a knee injury, but there are injuries to the Steelers running back room, so keep an eye on injury report.
Wide Receivers
- A.J. Brown missed two games in a row, and could be ready to return this week against the banged up Buccaneers. His teammate DeVonta Smith is also in the concussion protocol, so if Smith misses the game it could be a big game for A.J. Brown.
Tight Ends
- Sam LaPorta has a low-ankle sprain, which could limit him, but he did return to the game twice last week after getting hurt. His production was not good though, he finished with 2 receptions for 36 yards. If it is bad he should rest.
- Trey McBride left his game on Sunday after taking a blow to the head. He will have to clear the concussion protocol before he’s able to suit up against the Commanders.
