Former Browns running back was killed in a car accident
Former Cleveland Browns standout running back Ben Gay was killed in a car crash, he was just 44-years-ago.
He is survived by his wife and three children.
Gay spent one season with the Browns in 2001, but it was a season to remember. He started the season as a third-string running back after having been signed by the team three days before training camp.
Gay finished the season with 51 carries for 172 yards and the one touchdown. He also averaged 22.3 yards on 22 kickoff returns.
The Browns waived Gay and he signed with the Indianapolis Colts shortly after, but was cut during training camp.
