First Cousin of Browns football player sentenced to 40 years in prison for killing his younger brother

The man charged with murder in the 2022 death of the brother of Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was sentenced to prison Monday.

Ronald Scott, 33 of Florida, was sentenced in the killing of Joshua Owusu-Koramoah the standout football player for William and Mary. Scott plead guilty to second degree murder, arson, animal cruelty and grand larceny.
Scott was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
Joshua and the cousin both lived in the Hampton residence where his body was found, police say. The documents share those authorities found a dead dog, and Joshua in a smoldering fire.
Police found Joshua dead at the Hampton home on Lake Tower Drive with “blood coming from around his head and broken glass around his body.” He also had an open wallet on his chest.
Please keep the Owusu-Koramoah family in your prayers.
