Cult-Like Religious Pastor not happy with SWAT raiding former NFL football players house to find his son

This is the craziest story on the internet right now. We have been reporting that Daniel Muir the former Indianapolis Colts defensive lineman had a son missing. This story became pretty big, because Muir and his wife were the last two people to see their 14-year-old son Bryson.

Well, there was rumors that Muir and his wife were last seen going into their religious compound. Yes, you read that right, what is a religious compound?

Well, according to reports, Straitway Truth Ministries is in the news again. They made the news with the NFL before when Kabeer Gbaja-Biamilla was arrested in 2019 after threatening his children’s school.

What is Straightway Truth Ministries?

Straitway Truth Ministry is headquartered in Tennessee but has chapters throughout the country, including in Indiana, where the teen was found.

The church promotes a life of separation from mainstream society, advocating for a return to Biblical law and the commandments as they interpret them. It truly has a cult-like feeling to it. They are a large, communal living, with bartering systems, and living conditions so basic that some do not have any running water and use buckets as toilets.

Their leader is Pastor Charles Dowell. Dowell is the leader of the religious group and uploaded a video on YouTube just hours after police raided one of their religious compounds and he is a strange guy. He released a series of videos this past week saying the raid by SWAT was similar to that of David Koresh’s Waco raiding back in 1993.

Straitway Truth also has been at the center of allegations regarding cult-like behavior. Former members say this includes extreme control over members’ lives, financial exploitation, and the social isolation of members from friends and family outside the church, making it hard to escape due to threats of eternal damnation and loss of community.

Former members have also reported emotional, psychological, and sexual abuse taking place on the compound’s ground

The teen’s family is part of the religious group. Despite teen Bryson Muir’s face being visibly bruised and swollen, Dowell says that things are not what they seem and that he stands with Muir’s parents, former NFL player Daniel Muir and wife Kristen Muir. The crazy thing is the family had their son in their house the entire time. Even though he had been reported missing for almost an entire month. This sounds like a very scary situation, and Pastor Dowell calls Daniel Muir a pastor at one of the churches.

Pray for Bryson Muir, the young man that went missing and was found. I hope he is able to find peace now.
