Former star linebacker Clay Schueffner was charged in the fatal accident of a Priest while reportedly looking at his phone

Clay Schueffner was one of the most talented linebackers in Winona State history. We had the honor to sit down with Clay at Draft Diamonds to talk about his journey because he was truly an NFL prospect.
Well, according to reports, the former Winona State football player allegedly hit and killed a 93-year-old priest, while driving, but looking at his phone instead of the road.
Schueffner was charged last week with homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle in Milwaukee County.
The 24-year-old former WSU linebacker was possibly looking at Snapchat or GPS on one of his two phones, when he hit the priest with his GMC truck back on Feb. 9 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
David Gau, a 97-year-old priest died shortly after being hit. Schueffner was going 38 miles per hour in a 35-mile-an-hour zone. Police are claiming Clay was looking at his phone, they claim Snapchat and the GPS were pulled up on his phone. Clay denied being on Snapchat.
We sat down with Clay before the NFL Draft.
