Former NFL football star arrested for driving impaired and cocaine possession
Former Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen was arrested last night after a State Trooper pulled him over.
Griffen was cited for probable cause DWI. Griffen was driving his Bentley under the influence. According to the State Patrol, Griffen was spotted driving on I-35W in Minneapolis near midnight when the trooper pulled him over and observed visible signs of impairment.
Griffen had two people in the car with him and he smelled like alcohol.
Police found a small ball of white powder which tested for cocaine.
Griffen has several charges in his past and has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, after the Vikings asked for a mental evaluation of him.
