What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

It was a decision I made early on when we got into the United States in 2009 and we were watching a game in Houston and we started watching the game more and I started getting into football more and in 7th grade I played it and realized I was good at it and there was no looking back.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

In high school in a playoff game and it was my 3rd game on varsity my junior season and I got into the game and my brother got a strip sack and I took it in for a touchdown.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

As a football player just help whatever team shows interest in me and gives me the best opportunity and have God guide me and help out in the community.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Von Miller, because he had such an insightful gameplay to effect the other team and the offensive line and I’d love to see how he put the plan forward in the game.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My dad, because he sacrificed a lot to get me and my siblings opportunities and help get us whatever needed to be successful in life.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

4-3, because I am very effective rushing the passer but also dropping into coverage and I am also an effective run stopper.

What should we know about Philip Ossai the person?

Someone who is dedicated to doing whatever it takes to do anything possible on the football field or in life and whenever I do something I make sure that I put 110 percent effort into it.

What stands out about your film the most?

My motor. Anyone who watches my film I have that same motor throughout the game and my power as well.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

On the football field I revert to my training and what was done in practice and attack the problem and get the best outcome and in life it’s the same thing how can I attack the problem so it is beneficial to me.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Someone who gives their all and fights for every inch, relentless, and gives 110 percent effort whether it’s practice or in game or in training.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The chess match on the football field that happens and the competition and the camaraderie of a group of men while also going up against another group of men.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Takairee Kenebrew, I don’t think I’ve seen a better receiver than him. Jakob Cummings, who I played with my junior year he had a presence on the football field.
