Mike Locksley has become an amazing coach at Maryland, but is still dealing with an off-the-field situation that left his son Meiko dead from gunshot wounds back in 2017.

Meiko Locksley was shot and killed back in September of 2017, and the police finally released some details about the shooting.

Police have arrested John Willie Kennedy Jr. on obstruction of justice charges after he admitted to lying to investigators about his whereabouts during the murder.

Phone records showed that Kennedy Jr. was at the same location as Meiko when he was killed. Kennedy then said that he reportedly sold weed to Meiko but did not know who shot the son of the Terps head coach.

The murder weapon was found back in 2020, and data showed that Kennedy lied to a federal grand jury.

About a year later, in April 2021, Kennedy lied to a federal grand jury, saying he was in his house when Meiko Locksley was shot. Investigators later learned witnesses saw Kennedy in front of the town house where Locksley was shot immediately before and after the shooting.

According to prosecutors, Kennedy was seen putting something in the back of his truck after the shooting, then ran toward his town house.

Six years is not enough, because it seems like Kennedy knows more than he is telling investigators.
