What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I was always involved in athletics and I started football in middle school to make friends and I fell in love with the sport and being able to connect with a bunch of guys as a team and have relationships outside of football.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Definitely winning the conference two years in a row at Howard which I’ve never had happened before and then junior year of high school we were playing in the playoffs around thanksgiving and which never happened before either.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

My goal is to win championships on whatever team I’m on but also help others around me.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Peyton Manning, when I was a kid he was my favorite player even though I was a Carolina Panthers fan it was cool to see him play against the panthers and he has a cool personality off the field that I would love to be around.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My grandmother, because I always felt like she was what I wanted to be as a person. Be kind, selfless and always helping others.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

The aggressive attacking 3-4 front, it was what I liked running early in my college career and you can be aggressive and also versatile in that defense to get what you want.

What should we know about Ian White the person?

Just know that I’m an easygoing guy, put my head down and work and not be distracted by what’s going on around me.

What stands out about your film the most?

My length at 6 foot 5 inches, there’s a lot of way I can effect the game with my size and change the game.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I try to handle challenges head on, just try to deal with it and get through it.

What would a team get in a player like you?

They’d get 100 percent effort and time and put the team in the best position to be successful.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

Just the lessons you learn from it and dealing with adversity and learning from it and doing better doing it.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Christian White, great player and captain of our defense and makes sure we run everything correct scheme wise.
