Teenager arrested for murdering College Football Player in North Carolina

Tyzavian Smith an 18-year-old has been charged with the murder of college football player Shemar Hayes. Hayes a 23-year-old from North Carolina was a star high school player in Charlotte.
Louisburg College star wide receiver Shemar Hayes was killed back on March 12, 2024.
According to police, officers responded to an assault with deadly weapon call and it was not long before they found a male suffering from a gunshot wound.
Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead on the scene.
On March 27th, Smith was located at his residence. A standoff began because the suspect failed to come outside for arrest.
The SWAT team was called. It took hours for Tyzavian to exit the home and surrender. The suspect was then transported to police headquarters to be interviewed by detectives.
At the conclusion of the interview, Tyzavian was transferred into the custody of the Mecklenburg County Jail and charged with murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
