Final 2024 NFL Mock Draft: Presented by NFL Draft Diamonds Owner Damond Talbot

It is here! Draft Day! We have waited all year for this, and I am pumped to push out my final mock draft of the 2024 year. Let’s Start the Draft:

1. Chicago Bears select Caleb Williams, QB, USC – The Bears finally get a quarterback. After pulling off a trade last year allowing the Panthers to get their Franchise Quarterback they were able to be patient and get the best quarterback to come out of the draft in a long time!
2. Washington Commanders select Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU – The Heisman Trophy Winner is headed to the Commanders. While there were some head scratching scenes earlier last week when the Commanders brought in four quarterbacks at once, the Commanders and Daniels camp are able to get past the drama. Daniels will be a leader for the Commanders for years to come.
3. New England Patriots select Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina – The Vikings did everything they could to move up here, but the Patriots wanted a ransom. The Patriots leadership wanted to walk away with a quarterback and settled on Maye at three overall.
4. Arizona Cardinals select WR Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State – The Cardinals are in a great spot to land the most prolific wide out over the past decade. MHJ is going to be a true number one for Kyler Murray and the Cards.
5. TRADE- Los Angeles Chargers trade the fifth pick of the 2024 NFL Draft to the Minnesota Vikings for the 11th, 23rd, 157th (2024), and a first in 2025. – Minnesota Vikings select JJ McCarthy, QB, Michigan – The Vikings land a quarterback they truly coveted. The Broncos were trying to trade up as well, but just do not have enough capital. The Vikings had to give up a lot, but it could have been worse. Patriots wanted four first round picks.
6. New York Giants select Rome Odunze, WR, Washington – I know many feel that Malik Nabers would be the pick, but we are hearing the Giants covet Rome higher than Malik. The Malik slide officially begins.
7. Tennessee Titans select Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame – The Titans land the safest pick in the entire NFL Draft by being patient. The Notre Dame offensive tackle is a big kid with a lot of talent. Titans need to protect Will Levis and this is a great selection.
8. Atlanta Falcons select Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama – The Falcons found a very solid quarterback in Kirk Cousins and now need to focus on getting after the quarterback. Dallas Turner is one of the best edge rushers in the draft, and will immediately help the Falcons pass rush.
9. Chicago Bears select Malik Nabers, WR, LSU – Are you kidding me? The Bears did not have to move and they walk away with a top wide receiver in the draft. The Bears first round selections will be Caleb Williams and Malik Nabers, that will change the outlook of the NFC North.
10. New York Jets select Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia – The New York Jets land one of the biggest weapons in the draft. To select a guy that can assist the Jets in short yardage situations and becomes an immediate weapon. Just like the Bills taking Dalton Kincaid last year in the draft, the Jets strike gold on Bowers.
11. Los Angeles Chargers select JC Latham, OT, Alabama – The Chargers are able to trade down and still take the guy they covet. We have heard the Chargers will take a tackle and they end up getting the best right tackle in the draft. This makes too much sense. Why take him at five when you can pick up the player you love and another pick for maybe a wide out…..
12. TRADE Denver Broncos trade the 12th pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for the 22nd, 50th, and 172nd pick in the 2024 NFL Draft – Philadelphia Eagles select Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo – The Eagles know the Raiders are high on two cornerbacks and they want to get their guy. The Eagles jump the Raiders and select Quinyon Mitchell who has a ton of upside.
13. Las Vegas Raiders select Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama – I feel the Raiders select one of the safest picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Raiders get a guy that is a great human being and a very solid baller on the back end. I could not give the Raiders a quarterback this early, but could we see them again?
14. New Orleans Saints select Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State – The Saints were patient and landed one of the top offensive lineman in the draft. There is no need to move up for the Saints because the top tackle fell to them. Saints need help on the line with James Hurst retiring this week.
15. TRADE Indianapolis Colts trade the 15th pick to the Cincinnati Bengals for the 18th, 80th, and a 2nd in 2025 – Cincinnati Bengals select Byron Murphy III, DT, Texas – The Bengals have a need and the price to pay to get up to the 15th spot is not bad. Go get a pass rusher that will dominate for years to come.
16. Seattle Seahawks select Troy Fautanu, OL, Washington – Their offensive line coach and offensive coordinator both came from Washington. The Seahawks biggest need is at guard, Fautanu can plug and play from day one.
17. TRADE Jacksonville Jaguars trade the 17th pick to the San Francisco 49ers for WR Brandon Aiyuk – San Francisco 49ers select Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU – The Jaguars front office has multiple former 49ers staff members including Trent Baalke, the Jaguars have the cap space to pay Aiyuk, and land a wide out with back to back 1000 yard seasons and the 49ers select his replacement in a big receiver with speed.
18. Indianapolis Colts select Cooper DeJean, DB, Iowa – The Colts select the best player available. They move back and still have a guy they value as a first round pick. The Colts pick up draft capital and still get their guy.
19. Los Angeles Rams select Laiatu Latu, DE, UCLA – The Rams land a superstar pass rusher after losing Aaron Donald. I know they are different positions, but this is an easy pick. The Rams have not had a first round pick in forever, they were getting calls but stayed put.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers select Graham Barton, OC, Duke – The Steelers get a nasty and gritty player in Graham Barton. If they do not select him at 20 he will be gone by the Cowboys pick. The Steelers take a need and he is a good one.
21. Miami Dolphins select Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas – The Dolphins continue to add speed, are you kidding me, who is going to be able to cover this team. Tyreek, Waddle, Achane and now this guy, Mike McDaniel is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers.
22. Denver Broncos select Bo Nix, QB, Oregon – The Denver Broncos were able to trade back and still get a quarterback. They do not have a lot of draft picks and were able to still get a quarterback they covet. Sean Payton finally has his guy, can he turn into a Drew Brees?
23. Los Angeles Chargers select Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas – The Chargers need a wide out after letting Mike Williams and Keenan Allen go. They are able to get a right tackle early and pick up a star wide receiver with big time play making ability.
24. Dallas Cowboys select Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma – The Cowboys are upset that Graham Barton was not here, but they are taking an offensive tackle. Losing Tyron Smith hurts and they will need to get someone that can come in and play right away. The Cowboys hit on this pick with a massive man in Guyton.
25. Green Bay Packers select Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson – The Packers have a need at cornerback and they end up selecting one of the top players. I think this is an amazing pick for the Packers because Wiggins is a ball player.
26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State – Buccaneers lost Shaquil Barrett in free agency and they find a replacement sitting there at 26. Jared Verse to me is the best pass rusher in the draft. Why he falls to Tampa is crazy, but congrats Bucs fans you landed a star.
27. Arizona Cardinals select Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State – The Cardinals are able to land a top 15 offensive tackle at 27, and they land Marvin Harrison Jr. This is a great selection and a start to a new look for the 2024 season.
28. TRADE Buffalo Bills trade pick 28 to the Las Vegas Raiders for pick 44, 77, and a 2nd round pick in 2025 – Las Vegas Raiders select Michael Penix Jr., QB, Washington – The Bills tried everything to move up to select a wide out and could not get it done. They were not willing to overpay. The Raiders however land their franchise QB along with the top corner in the draft.
29. TRADE Detroit Lions trade pick 29 to the Washington Commanders for the 36th, 40th, and a 2025 5th – Washington Commanders select Jordan Morgan, OT, Arizona – The Commanders get their blindside tackle. The Ravens, Niners are two teams that wanted Morgan, so the Commanders have to give up a little to move up.
30. Baltimore Ravens select Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama – The Ravens at this point are taking the best player available. You cannot pass on a player that dominated the SEC. The Ravens can use help in the secondary and this is an easy selection.
31. San Francisco 49ers select Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia – The 49ers were banking on Jordan Morgan being in the fold, but the Commanders made the jump to get the guy they wanted the most. Mims is a massive player and will fill in right away.
32. Kansas City Chiefs select Johnny Newton, DT, Illinois – The Chiefs get a gift once again. I am not sure why Newton fell in the draft, but he falls to the Super Bowl Champs. The Chiefs strike gold.
