What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I played all sports growing up. Football just gave me the opportunity after high school. I was a 3 sport athlete. When I got to college I did football and track. The thing that kept me playing was many doors that were opening for me after high school and the opportunities to use my speed at will! After that I learned to love it!

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moments of football was when I score my touchdowns when we need it! The recognition I get from performing well even when I don’t. The traveling aspect of it. Can’t forget the team camaraderie!

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

As a football player I’m looking to make a difference in my life by having the game pay me! Pay me for all the hard work I put in and provide for my family as needed.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

It would probably be DeSean Jackson and Chad Ocho Cinco. These 2 guys were more of my favorite players, but also want to learn from them and soak up some game about the game that they can give me!

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My father inspired me the most as an athlete! I didn’t get a chance to see him in his football and basketball days but from the awards he has from them I know my father had an impact on me just from me being his son! My father Barry F. Elliott inspired me by teaching, coaching, and supporting me since I was 3 years old! My pops gave me most of the speed I have today from the workouts he had me doing at a young age! He was just always there, even times when I may not of wanted him to be. Overall he taught and inspired me a lot on becoming a man!

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

My favorite schemes in an offense are almost any of them if I’m getting the ball. I like taking deep shots down the field cause I can stretch the field. I also like screen passes to where I can find creases and have multiple blockers. As well as trick plays, switch routes, and even blocking! I don’t care if I’m at the slot receiver position or the outside receiver! 2 receiver sets are to my liking and empty sets as well. I can’t really narrow it down because I can score out of any of them.

What should we know about Barry Elliott the person?

You should know that Barry Elliott as a person is calm, patient, can be aggressive, coachable, understanding more than one perspective, speedster! A good teammate, a willing man! A Christian man, willing to sacrifice certain things for the team, also a cool guy to be around , and very humorous.

What stands out about your film the most?

My film can show you a lot of my speed and cutting ability! Also shows that I am wiling to sacrifice my body on run plays, so things like blocking and things of that nature. The main thing is that my SPEED KILLS!

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

One of the things I do the most when faced with challenges is pray to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and pray that he gets me out of or through a situation, and giving me the mind and heart to handle it and go about it the right way. I am not afraid to ask for help! I sit back and analyze the situation at hand and calmly think of ways to configure! I also understand that everything happens for a reason and that some things are out of my control and some things are and have to know the difference between the two. But as a man that I am wouldn’t show a lot of what I’m going through on my face.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Positivity, team player, supportive, hard work ethic, love for the game, I’m also going to have fun as a person in this stressful sport. You will also get a coachable player that pays attention to details.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The thing I love the most about the sport of football the support from friends, family, and fans. They make the game what it is!

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

My QB from Charleston West Virginia. His name is Javonte Howard and he currently plays there. He’s the best QB I’ve ever played with that can actually over throw me with his strong arm strength. When he got the chance to play a full season he won Charleston WV there first Conference Championship! An outstanding and amazing player!
