One team reportedly has a crush on Michigan’s JJ McCarthy which could make him a Top 12 pick

Michigan quarterback JJ McCarthy maybe one of the most hated prospects in the NFL Draft. I have not heard many great things about the Michigan quarterback on social media, but one NFL team loves him.
According to Outkick.com, the floor is set in the middle of the first round for the Michigan gunslinger.
“Everybody knows Sean Payton really likes the kid,” he said. “I don’t know if that’s love because I wasn’t in their meeting. But the rumors about Payton and McCarthy were rampant in Indy. Maybe it’s smoke, but I don’t think so.”
With Russell Wilson being released, Sean Payton is going to want his quarterback. Payton and McCarthy spent time talking plays, and schemes and McCarthy loved his meeting.
“It was just really great to be in that room with them and go through tape,” McCarthy said. “It was honestly a really fun time. So it was a blessing to just, you know, pick their brains a little bit and have them just shoot me questions left and right. I really enjoyed it.”
“Fellow Illinois guy,” McCarthy, who had obviously done his homework, said about the Broncos coach. “Absolutely would be an honor to play for him. Everything about this process has been so great, and any team who selects me, it’d be an honor.”
In total, McCarthy threw for 6,226 yards, 49 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in three seasons, completing 67.6 percent of his passes.
Ben Solak of The Ringer reported Monday that he “heard significantly more interest and excitement for how high Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy might go relative to how high Daniels might go” at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Will a team try to jump the Broncos to select him? Usually where there is smoke there is fire.
