Talk about your experience as a student. What is your major/minor? Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?

My experience here at Ferris State has been amazing. Faculty and staff are amazing individuals. My Major is Business Marketing.

What do your teammates say is your best quality?

My mentality towards the game. I’m someone you can lean on to make impactful plays, and someone you can count on in clutch times.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?

Coming into my last year at Ferris I see myself as a leader, vocally but also one that shows that working hard can take you to new heights. The position that suits me is the Nickel/Hybrid position. Agile and long enough to cover but also strong enough to shed blockers and make plays in the box.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?

Best player I ever played against was Marcus Taylor of Ferris state. A twitchy guy with a lot of explosive talent.

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?

Bryce George OL for Ferris State. Big and burly, but super athletic.

What makes you different from others at your position?

My length and the amount of space I’m able to cover to make plays. My ability to learn and apply skills fast.

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.

Covid. During that time I just transferred into Ferris to play Quarterback. Learned a lot in that year, but then got switched to DB right before summer hit. Didn’t know a lot about the position but I did know how to grind. Ended up working at it everyday, came into camp the year after earning a starting role and making big time plays for the team. Helping us to win our first national championship.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?

I would wrestle.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?

I’m proud to be attending school and playing football at an elite level, so that my family and town can have something to support and be happy for. My biggest achievement has been being an example for my two nephews and niece. Allowing them to see and be apart of this journey I’m on to hopefully motivate them on their own journey.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.

First college interception. My sophomore year I picked it off and returned it for a 64 yard touchdown.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?

Favorite athlete- Kobe Bryant. I try to apply some skills that Jamal Adams has to my game. But I watch a little bit of everybody. Micah Parsons, Mark Barron, Derwin James. They all offer different skills.

What gets you “pumped up” before a game?

Listening to Adele.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Any secret talents?

Listening to music and hanging out with family. Hobbies- pickle-ball

Why do you play football? Who or what motivates you the most?

I play football because I have genuine love for the game and everything that comes with it. Motivation- Myself. Sounds selfish in a way but I have this mentality that if I put my mind to something or say I’m going to do something ima do it and at a high level.

What do you want NFL teams to know about you?

I’m never a difficult player to coach. I learn fast, I pick up on things quick, and I’m a difference maker. If there’s a big play that needs to be made, you can count on me to make that play. Also have a lot grit. I don’t have to say a lot when playing, but the sounds I do make are impactful through my play.
