Rams tried hard to trade Matthew Stafford before his bonus kicked in

The Los Angeles Rams seem to be in a rebuild after winning the Super Bowl a few years ago, and they even tried hard to sell Matthew Stafford as well.
According to reports from Pat McAfee, the Rams tried very hard to move Stafford before his option bonus kicked in. The thing was no one wanted to absorb 59 million dollars that was owed to Stafford.
Mike Lombardi on McAfee Show said
“When [Stafford’s] option bonus was getting ready to kick in, [the Rams] attempted with a lot of effort to trade him. Any team could have had him. The problem was that you had to absorb the $59 million,” Lombardi said.
The Rams had until the third day of the new league year to pick up Stafford’s option, which guaranteed him 62 million dollars between 2023 and 2024. That new league started on March 15th at 4pm, so it looks like Stafford will be their quarterback moving forward, but with his injury status in question, there is no doubt the Rams drafted Stetson Bennett to get reps. We will see how it plays out.
Do you think the Rams can get back to the Super Bowl with their current roster?
