What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2024 NFL Draft?
I believe that what makes me a top prospect at my position in the 2024 NFL Draft is the combination of my speed, agility, and vision on the field. I have spent countless hours studying my opponent’s defenses and anticipating their moves, which has allowed me to consistently make explosive plays and rack up yards every game. Qualities such as my speed, ability to catch the ball out the backfield, route running ability and capability to make plays on the field are all skill sets that separate me and make me a top prospect in this years draft class.
Furthermore, I am dedicated to constantly improving and refining my technique, whether it means working on my footwork or strengthening my leg muscles to increase my speed and endurance. I am also a team player who is not afraid to put in the hard work and take on any role needed to help my team win.
In short, I believe that my combination of skills, dedication, and teamwork make me a top prospect for the 2024 NFL Draft at my position and I am confident that I will be able to make an immediate impact at the professional level.
At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?
At the age of 7 is when I was enrolled in my first organized football team with the Wellington Panthers in York, Pennsylvania, I fell in love with the game. My favorite team was always the Colts, I shared love for them as my father was also a Colts fan and we often watched games together. His excited every Sunday and during my games motivated me beyond measure from a young age. I also admired Chris Johnson with the Tennessee Titans. His game was extremely inspiring and I always pictured myself playing just as great, if not better than him. I’ve always had a lot of energy and speed, football gave me an opportunity to channel that and allowed me to find my passion.
What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?
I am dedicated to honing my skills and perfecting my craft. Football is more than just a sport to me; it is a passion that has driven me to work relentlessly towards achieving my goals.
I understand that the road to the draft will not be an easy one, but I am willing to do whatever it takes to get there. I am determined to put in the hard work and compete at the highest level, pushing myself beyond my limits to become the best player I can be.
Furthermore, I recognize the importance of building a strong sense of teamwork, both on and off the field. I am committed to collaborating with my teammates and coaches to create a cohesive unit that will be successful both in the short and long term.
My dedication, passion, and work ethic make me a valuable asset to any team. I am excited about the opportunity to take my skills to the next level and make a significant impact in the football world.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
I would donate to Lupus research and treatment efforts. My mother was diagnosed with Lupus ten years ago. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect various parts of the body. When a person has lupus, their immune system attacks healthy cells, tissues, and organs, causing inflammation, pain, and damage. Unfortunately, there is no cure for lupus yet, and treatment options usually focus on managing symptoms and preventing complications. Overall, choosing to donate to lupus is a powerful way to make a positive impact on the lives of people living with this disease and their families.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
The best advice i received was from my grandfather, Pastor Anthony Dorsey. He told me “God is your offensive coordinator, the devil is the defense.. listen and stay close to your coordinator as he shall protect you and put you in positions to make plays and be successful against the enemy”. Looking at the game and at life from that perspective allows me to have a different type of dedication and motivation when playing football.
Who was your childhood hero?
My childhood heroes are my Grandfather and my mother. I say my grandfather because with him being a pastor, he brought me closer to God, taught me about faith and adversity and I’ve always looked up to him as a man. I would say my mother because she’s the definition of a grinder! She was a single mother with 4 boys and she some how raised us all to be successful black men! So I salute her and always look up to her when it comes to adversity in life because she is the definition of overcoming adversity!
What is your biggest pet peeve?
My biggest pet peeve is dishonesty. I believe we should all be honest and deal with whatever challenges come to us face to face with honor.
Being dishonest also impacts four major pillars in my life trust, integrity, performance and fairness. I believe in team sports and in life in general, you need these factors to have successful relationships.
Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?
The hardest moment in my life was becoming a young parent at the age of 20 during the Covid pandemic. Trying to focus on my son, school and football it was a hard task. Remote learning with a newborn baby and workout schedules don’t mix well. I had to be dedicated, locked in and focused on my goals. I made sure to have set schedules to achieve my plan to be successful even with a new baby. It took a lot of hard work and mental toughness because it was a battle but I graduated as planned May 2023 with my Bachelors in Sociology!
Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?
I love Slippery Rock because of the family environment and the winning atmosphere. Everyone I’ve met so far has a winning spirit from our Head Coach to the janitors, you aren’t playing for yourself or working for yourself; your working hard for everyone around you and all of my teammates and coaches understand that! Our coaches are dedicated and consistently in their offices working and showing players that they want to win which will make players want to win and play harder! Our Locker room is tight with high goals and expectations!
What is your favorite snack food?
White Reese’s are my go to, every time!
What is the best part of football?
In my eyes, the best part of football is winning. Being able to showcase all of the seen and unseen work that you and your team have put in to get to the point of dominating your opponent is indescribable. Although it takes a lot of hard work, tenacity and focus – it’s a lot of fun being out there with your football family, putting on a show to get the W!
If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say?
“I am a proven offensive powerhouse with a track record of breaking records and leading my team to victory, ready to bring my game to the next level in the NFL.”
If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be?
I would compare myself to Raheem Mostert. I display very similar track speed on the field, agility, hit holes and pivot with ease and make those tough aggressive runs when necessary. I also have great vision on the field, allowing me to find running lanes other players may miss. I recently had an 80-yard touchdown play at Shippensburg University that reminded me of Mostert. I don’t think many players would have attempted that or would have been able to out run defenders of a team ranked 4th in their division. Mostert motivates me, I strive to emulate his speed, quickness, agility, and vision to become an elusive and effective runner on the field.
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?
It would definitely be dinner with my grandfather, my father, and my mother. It’s been almost six years since I’ve spoken to be grandfather and ten since I’ve spoken to my dad. They both passed suddenly. I’d love to hear my grandfather pray before dinner as my dad interrupts and tells jokes. I miss them. I’d invite my mother to dinner with them because she deserves it all. She’s always been my rock and I enjoy spending time with her. I cherish every moment because I understand life is short and you must value those who you love.
