2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Predictions

The NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award is one of the most coveted honors in the league and the best betting sites always have great odds to take advantage of. In the 2022 season, Jets wideout Garrett Wilson emerged as the winner, making history alongside his teammate Sauce Gardner, who won the defensive version of the award.

As we look ahead to the 2023 season, several talented rookies are poised to compete for the prestigious title. In this article, we’ll delve into the top contenders for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award, with two standout players taking the spotlight: RB Bijan Robinson and QB Bryce Young.

Bijan Robinson: The Explosive Running Back

Bijan Robinson is a highly regarded running back from Texas and he enters the NFL as one of the most promising prospects in recent years. During his senior season, Robinson showcased his skills by accumulating an impressive 1,580 rushing yards, 18 touchdowns, and 314 receiving yards with 2 additional touchdowns. Throughout his college career, he amassed a total of 3,410 rushing yards and 33 rushing touchdowns.

While the Falcons were fairly deep at running back already, they couldn’t pass on his skillset with the 8th pick in the first round. They love to run the ball in their offense and Robinson’s explosiveness should help them their improve scoring ability in the 2023 season. As a result, we believe that Robinson is arguably the frontrunner for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Bryce Young: The Heisman Winner Turned NFL Quarterback

Bryce Young was the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and he made waves during his college career by capturing the prestigious Heisman Trophy in 2021. Although he faced some challenges in 2022 due to injuries, Young still managed to throw for 3,328 yards with a remarkable 32 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions.

The Panthers acquired Young through a trade with the Chicago Bears, showcasing their belief in his potential as a franchise quarterback. They also remodeled their offense to surround him with a veteran presence by signing the likes of Sanders, Thielen, and Hurst. With his impressive resume and undeniable talent, Young is a strong contender for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Jahmyr Gibbs: The Dark Horse Candidate

While Robinson and Young should be tough to beat, it’s worth keeping an eye on Jahmyr Gibbs, who was picked up by the Detroit Lions. Despite initial concerns about the team’s crowded backfield, the surprising trade of D’Andre Swift has opened up opportunities for Gibbs to make an impact. With his explosive abilities and the potential to thrive in a dynamic offense, Gibbs presents an intriguing option for those seeking long-odds futures bets.

As we look ahead to the 2023 NFL season, the race for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award promises to be captivating. While there are several talented rookies in contention, Bijan Robinson and Bryce Young stand out as the frontrunners. Robinson’s explosive playing style and the Falcons’ faith in him make him a strong contender, while Young’s Heisman-winning background and the Panthers’ investment in him as their franchise quarterback give him a competitive edge. However, let’s pay attention to the potential of dark horse candidate Jahmyr Gibbs, who could make a significant impact on the Detroit Lions offense. With these talented rookies in the mix, the race for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award is sure to be thrilling and closely watched throughout the season.
