What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Honestly just from watching USC-UCLA rivalry games and how my classmates talked about it and from my dad watching the Patriots and Ravens and I played basketball and I was too physical out there so that’s why I football.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Winning a championship my first year of football ever and junior year of high school when we beat our rivals for the first time in a few years and getting my first scholarship that boosted my confidence that I can play well out there.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
Just to make a team and build myself and continue to grow as a player and down the road help my family through the sport I’ve gained a passion for.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Larry Allen, because that’s the first player I really appreciated and he played at Sonoma State which I have of connections to and just to pick his brain would help me as a football player.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My grandfather, due to his determination and commitment to family and he’s one of the most influential people in my life who gives me the honest truth and he also has a really good work ethic that is a key to him being successful.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
Gap scheme, just pulling for the guards and getting blocks that scheme is awesome and communicating with running backs and tight ends getting on the same page at the line of scrimmage.
What should we know about DJ Stuckey the person?
He’s a guy that is able to connect with alot of people, show up ready to work and learn new schemes. Who wants to come in and learn schemes quickly to contribute the best.
What stands out about your film the most?
Mostly my strength that I can come in and push guys around and my ability to communicate up front and go up and finish my blocks and hustle to get where I need to be to get my blocks.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I try to look through both angles like what I can do well and then understand what I need to do better and always ask questions. And I always take them head on and don’t shy away from them.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A player who is going to show up ready to work everyday, a player willing to help the team get better and someone who is confident but also knows he can make improvements.
How are you planning to train for the draft?
The ability that I can go out there and hit somebody and not get punished but get praised for it and football has always been my happy place where bad thoughts and things disappear when I go out there onto the football field.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Preston Nichols, I don’t think he gets as much recognition as he deserves and people always look past him and he’s a pretty good ball player.
