Who is the NFL player you compare yourself the most to? Why is that?
I always like watching guys like Tyrann Matheiu and Troy Polamalu. They are similar in frame to me and they were playmakers. When you watch guys who play or look similar to you at the highest level it allows you to visualize yourself in those positions. A newer guy I like to watch is Caleb downs. He’s only played one game so far but he’s a smart player who makes an impact all over the field.
What aspects of playing in the NFL do you find to be intriguing?
The aspect that intrigues me the most is how little room there is for error. Everyone at that level is the best of the best and you have to be at your best at all times to compete at that level.
In what ways have you improved since last season?
I feel like I improved all around but mostly with the intelligence side of football. Understanding .what’s going on, why it’s going on, and what’s the best way to stop it or put my teammates and myself in good positions.
What do you think your weaknesses are as a player and how are you working to improve on that aspect of your game?
I think there’s room for improvement in all aspects of my game. My tackling could be better, my coverage could be tighter, my communication could be louder. All of these aspects can be improved and Im going to continue stack days enjoy the process and continue to try and elevate everyday.
What is your favorite memory so far as a college football player?
My favorite college football memory so far would be when we played Villanova in our first home game last year. Since it was our first home game I had a lot of family come to the game and the game was sold out. It was a great atmosphere to play in especially in front of people I care about. I have a former high school teammate on Villanova so to play against him and have our high school coaches at the game it was something I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
What was your favorite memory as a high school player?
My favorite high school memory would be all of it. I started varsity as a freshman and got to play with some really good players and people. Then as I got older my childhood friends started playing on varsity and I got to share the field with them. Then my senior year I got to share the field with my little brother and my little cousin. Being able to play with my family and childhood friends is something that only happens a couple times and when it does you don’t forget those memories.
What is the most important thing you would like NFL scouts, coaches and general managers to know about you?
Family is everything for me. I’ve been blessed to be born into a tremendous family that has sacrificed a lot for me to be where I am at today. I have a big family and everyone has played a huge part in molding me. I wouldn’t be who I am without my family and the support that they have given me.
