Player Summary:
Graduate, 6th Year Senior, Transferred from Oregon State after 2020 season. Aligns at RB for UTST in their Spread-Option offense. RB in the NFL. Undersized; poor height with a sturdy and compact frame. Springy, explosive athlete with sufficient long speed. Developmental/Replaceable RB. On the field, he is a tough and competitive 2-down RB with above-average strength and balance to pair with sufficient vision, lateral agility, and burst. Average power despite size. As a runner, he is best on inside runs, and is marginal outside the tackles. Stays parallel to the LOS when hitting the hole, hits it quickly with conviction and good pad level. Does a good job at making players miss in tight spaces but in the open-field has trouble putting the breaks on and making moves. Good vision when there is a clear hole but can tend to run into blockers or holes that get filled quickly. Compact frame and lower body allows for broken tackles but does slow down his motor significantly. Muscled up, low center of gravity and good contact balance makes him hard to initially bring down. Long speed is average, can break off a long run and chunk yardage, but can and will get caught. His longest run in college so far is 61 yards. Finishes hard at the point of contact and always falls forward. As a receiver, he is average, he does not have many receptions or targets in college in addition to utilizing a limited route tree. Flashes the ability to be a good pass-catcher out of the backfield. Uses hands well at catch point, looking ball in and not letting ball get in on his body. As a pass blocker he is marginal with a good amount of exposure due to a lot of PA and RPO’s. Uses his toughness and natural leverage to his benefit in pass pro, but struggles getting hands on and maintaining blocks. Poor vision in pass pro to sift out where free rusher is coming from. Overall he is a developmental RB with strong traits to build off of, but size and speed certainly limit ability/potential.
