Texans football player wrongfully charged with burglary with intent to rape has charges dropped
Houston Texans football player Darius Anderson no longer faces criminal charges in Houston, according to the district attorney.
If you remember the Texans running back was charged with felony burglary with intent to rape, after police alleged Anderson allegedly broke into a woman’s house pursued her into a bathroom. The woman called the police from within the bathroom and that is when Anderson fled the house. Anderson is now barred from visiting the victim’s home and from possessing a firearm.
Well, the police department admitted the charged him wrong, and it was supposed to be burglary of habitation not intent to rape.
According to TMZ Sports, the Houston Police Department says there was a “coding error” in the online records and Anderson was charged with felony burglary of a habitation.
Well, The district attorney’s office said there was insufficient evidence to move forward with the case, and the case was dropped.
Anderson played in the Senior Bowl after a solid couple years at TCU where he rumbled for 823 yards his senior year.
