Houston Police admit to wrong charge for Texans RB Darius Anderson | Burglary of Habitation not Intent to Rape

The Houston Police Department made a mistake, and it could be a big one, because yesterday, Houston Texans running back Darius Anderson was charged with burglary with intent to rape, days before training camp, but that was not the charge.
According to TMZ Sports, the Houston Police Department says there was a “coding error” in the online records and Anderson was charged with felony burglary of a habitation.
A typical Burglary of a Habitation occurs when a person enters the home of another person with the intention of committing theft. A theft does not actually have to occur. The person merely has to enter the home with the intention of committing theft.
That is a huge mistake on Houston Police Department‘s part as everyone wrote articles saying that Anderson had the intent to rape his ex-girlfriend.
The police reports claim, Anderson came in through the garage, the female tried to run away she fell on the stairs, bump her shoulder, ran to her room grabbed a gun, then ran up to the third floor, locked herself in the bathroom and called the police. At that point, Anderson heard her on the phone and fled.
She does claim Anderson has hit her in the past, and she was afraid of him. The two broke up two months ago.
