Florida High School Football Coach arrested for molesting underage boy over 50 times

A Tampa High School football coach and former teacher has some explaining to do. Police have arrested Matthew Hike a 33 year-old football coach for inappropriate physical contact with students.
A victim who was a student and football player at Bloomingdale High School came forward to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday saying from 2017 through 2021, Matthew Hike, 33, who was his football coach, molested him more than 50 times.
The victim was under the age of 18 at the time of the incidents.
This is not Hike’s first run-in. He worked at Seffner High school for kids with disabilities and was accused of inappropriately touching a student.
Hike is now facing additional charges including three counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation and one count of Authority Figure Soliciting or Engaging in Lewd Conduct with a Student.
Any additional victims who may have experienced abuse by Hike are asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (813) 247-8200.
