Oregon’s Luke Hill reportedly shot at URI basketball recruit Ishmael Leggett

The DMV area made up of Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia have been producing athletes for years. Recently, the three places have been constantly pushing out talent left and right. The problem most of the talented kids run into though is crime. Many are misguided and end up throwing away their dreams for dumb stuff.
Yesterday, it was reported that Oregon’s top recruit and the number 12 best cornerback in the nation Luke Hill was arrested for attempted murder. Well, that attempted murder was over a girl.
According to ESPN, the intended target was Ishmael Leggett, an incoming freshman and one of six players committed to the Rhode Island Rams in their Class of 2020.
According to a partial copy of the charging documents obtained by WUSA-TV, the victim in this case – believed to be Leggett – was playing basketball in front of his house when he saw a white sedan approach. Police found seven .40-caliber shell casings at the scene, and two bullets struck the victim’s residence. A security camera at a nearby home recorded what appeared to be the same vehicle leaving the scene soon after the shooting.
The shooting was connected to a dispute involving a woman. Leggett’s current girlfriend was described by police as Hill’s ex-girlfriend. Police said Hill recently called his ex-girlfriend and “was threatening her about her current relationship.”
How can you throw away the chance of playing at the next level for a female. That is what I mean when I say misguided. Or no guidance. I feel bad for both kids. Thankfully neither died, but now one of the most talented players in the area will likely not play college football because of a girl. This is so sad, please keep these youth in your prayers.
PS – KIDS, do not let people rent space in your head for free. Think about your future for once, geez.
