Roger Goodell says he supports Colin Kaepernick’s stand, but also respects Patriotism
Associated Press asked NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell what he though about the Colin Kaepernick situation, and Goodell said he supports Kaepernick’s bravery to stand up for what is right, but doesn’t agree with the way Kaepernick is expressing himself.
“I support our players when they want to see change in society, and we don’t live in a perfect society. . . . On the other hand, we believe very strongly in patriotism in the NFL. I personally believe very strongly in that.”
It sounds like the Boss is not upset with Kaepernick, but he is hoping he chooses a different way to express himself, because he is likely taking backlash for it.
