Eagles extend their kicker Caleb Sturgis
Former Unviersity of Florida kicker Caleb Sturgis has been given an extension by the Philadelphia Eagles. This comes weeks after he beat out Cody Parkey for the starting job he was given a nice contract extension through 2017.
Sturgis was a 2013 fifth-round pick of the Dolphins after a good college career at Florida but didn’t pan out in Miami. He signed with the Eagles in Week Four of last season, however, and played fairly well, making 18 of 22 field goals and 35 of 37 extra points. In the preseason this year he made all three field goals and all three extra points.
