Rex Ryan says his defense will be better this year than last year even with suspensions/injuries
The Buffalo Bills could be one of the most snake bit teams in the NFL right now. The Bills have already lost their first and second round picks to injuries, and now have potential suspensions looming for Marcell Dareus and Manny Lawson.
Add in the fact that IK Enemkpali is injured for the season, and the Bills are in a bind. Well Rex Ryan will not let those be an excuse for his defense. The Bills head coach says the team will be better this year than last year even with the problems looming.
“I see the big picture. I also see this defense is improving,” Ryan said, via Mike Rodak, ESPN. “I’ve said it from Day 1: we’re going to be better. We will definitely be better than we were last year, in my opinion. Regardless of those [injuries and suspension], this defense will be better.”
I too believe that Rex Ryan’s defense will be amazing this year regardless of who plays. The team is very deep at almost every position, and I would not be surprised to see a veteran player like Brandon Spikes or Lorenzo Alexander step up and shine.
