Colin Kaepernick has been cleared to resume practice with the 49ers
Blaine Gabbert may be in charge right now, but his competition is back. According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been fully cleared to participate in practice after off-season shoulder surgery.
Kaepernick flew to Vail, Colorado, yesterday to meet with Dr. Peter Millett, who performed the surgery. There, he went through a series of tests including some on-field work, and Kaepernick apparently passed. He also had work done on his right thumb and left knee this off-season, getting the bulk rate, according to Pro Football Talk.
I think Kaepernick will give Gabbert a run for his money.
