Lions have signed kicker Devon Bell; Place Punter on waivers

The Detroit Lions announced Thursday they’ve placed P Kyle Christy on waivers and signed undrafted rookie K Devon Bell to a contract.
Bell concluded a four-year career (2012-15) at Mississippi State last season where he played in all 13 games and averaged 62.1 yards per kickoff, while also punting nine times for 370 yards (41.1 avg).
A native of Vicksburg, Miss., Bell played in 50 career games at Mississippi State. His career totals include 83 punts for 3,520 yards (42.4 avg), as well as a 20-of-36 mark on field goal attempts (55 percent).
