49ers are expected to sign Pierre Thomas
The San Francisco 49ers were in a bad situation. They have Shaun Draughn and Kendall Gaskins as their running backs, with all the other backs out. So they needed to do something and according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, they made their move.

Thomas was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Illinois.
