Jets have signed former Redskins defensive end Stephen Bowen
Former Washington Redskins defensive lineman Stephen Bowen on Tuesday afternoon posted on his Instagram account a photo of him signing a contract with the New York Jets.
“As a kid you always dream of playing for the home team. Feels good to be a NY Jet. #GangGreen,” Bowen wrote with the photo.
Raised in Dix Hills, N.Y., Bowen attended Hofstra University before signing with the Dallas Cowboys as a college free agent. After five years with the Cowboys, Bowen spent two years with the Redskins.
He also recorded career highs in tackles (41) and sacks (six) during the 2011 season.
