Draft Diamonds Prospect Interview: Corey Washington, WR, Newberry 

How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

Had a lot of big schools recruiting me but none would offer a scholarship because my GPA was to low.

Where did you choose and why?

Went to Georgia Military College (junior college) to start off college.

What were your goals for your senior year?

Win a championship and leave a legacy my senior year.

Have any scouts met with you, and if so what are they saying?

Met with a lot of scouts and I was told keep working hard because the sky is the limit.

At your position, what separates you from the others?

Being a physical and smart football player separate me from others!

Tell us what you look for when breaking down film?

I look at the little things while breaking down film, such as how much rep the guys getting. Is he in shape, is the guy a baller. Etc.

Who was the toughest player you have ever faced?

Toughest player I’ve faced is Bruce Ellington for USC 

If you could compare your play to one person in the NFL who would it be?

I compare my game to a Randy Moss/A.J. Green type of play

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Growing up without either parents was the biggest obstacle in my life but with a Grandmother that raised me and GOD on my side I made it through

What system fits your style of play the best?

I believe I can play in any style of offense.

What is your biggest strength?

My biggest strength is overcoming adversity. 

What is your biggest weakness?

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I don’t have a weakness I just wanna win.

Who was your favorite team and player in the NFL and why?

My favorite NFL team is the St. Louis Rams because I grew up watching them, and my favorite player would have to be Cam Newton. I just like his play at quarterback.

If you were to have dinner with three people dead or alive who would it be?

Three people I would love to have dinner with is president Barack Obama, Skylar Diggins, and Lauren London. 

With your first paycheck what would you buy?

My first pay check, I would buy myself a car because I need one.
