NFL expects to generate 14 billion dollars in 2017

Salary Cap Carryovers have been announced for all 32 teams
NFL continues to be a money hog

Just how much is the NFL worth? Well according to Daniel Kaplan of SportsBusiness Journal the NFL expects to generate $14 billion in 2017. That’s a $6 billion increase from 2010, when the NFL racked up $8 billion.

Kaplan says the increase came from the Thursday Night Football package and the opening of the new U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The opening of the Falcons’ new stadium and the Chargers’ move to L.A. could contribute to future increases, culminating in what should be a major increase when the Chargers and Rams move into their new stadium in Inglewood.

Roger Goodell would like the NFL to make 25 billion by the year 2027.  I believe that is very possible.  It is going to be raking in money from here on out. I know the owners of the NFL are loving Goodell right about now.
