#Bills are not expected to pick up E.J. Manuel’s fifth year option; Tyrod Taylor contract update
The Buffalo Bills currently have Tyrod Taylor under contract for the next year but the Bills are not expected to work on a contract extension right now with the Pro Bowl alternate. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media Insiders, the Bills will also not pick up E.J. Manuel’s fifth year option.
What does this mean?
Cardale Jones the Bills 4th round pick could have a real opportunity of starting in the future for the Bills. I know Cardale is a good football player and you have to look at the system that Greg Roman runs. Colin Kaepernick was a stud in Roman’s system, and the minute that Roman left, Kapernick looked bad. Tyrod looked pretty good in Roman’s system as well. Cardale has all the tools, but is he is still super raw.
I would not be surprised if the Bills franchised Tyrod Taylor next season. This way they can still keep him and do not have to give him a long term deal. This would give Cardale another year to learn behind Tyrod.
