#Steelers GM feels Big Ben has three to four more years in his “PRIME”; Do you agree?
Big Ben Roethlisberger is 34 years old, but he has not slowed down since entering the league back in 2004. He has won 2 Super Bowls and is a 4x Pro Bowler, which is impressive. Lately quarterbacks have been playing longer and longer, so technically Ben really has about 5 to 6 good years left, that is if he can make it to 40. With that being said, do the Steelers feel the same way? They sure do, according to Steelers GM Kevin Colbert, the Steelers envision Big Ben as the starter for the next 3 to 4 years, which they consider him still in his prime.
“Ben’s a franchise quarterback,” Colbert said while reflecting on Roethlisberger and his growth since the 2004 draft. “There are a few that have two [or more Super Bowls since 2004], but he’s one of those few. We’re very fortunate. We still have, you know, we think three to four more good years in his prime. We’re excited to see what he can do in that time period and what we can do to help him be successful.”
