Atlanta Falcons have signed veteran offensive tackle Jake Long
Today the Atlanta Falcons are signing former first overall pick Jake Long. Long is a very good veteran tackle who was recently with the St. Louis Rams. Dan Graziano of ESPN has confirmed that veteran OT Jake Long will be in Atlanta on Tuesday, and is expected to sign a contract with the Falcons.
This is a huge upgrade to the Falcons offensive line if you ask me. Long, 30, will be a veteran reinforcement for the Falcons, who list their 2014 first-round pick Jake Matthews as the starting left tackle and Ryan Schraeder as the starting right tackle.
Atlanta beat the Philadelphia Eagles 26–24 on Monday night, and will take on the New York Giants in Week 2.
