Colts place defensive lineman Arthur Jones on season ending I/R
Ian Rapoport of NFL Insiders is reporting that the Indianapolis Colts are in fact, placing DL Arthur Jones on season-ending injured reserve, as they get their roster down to 53 players.
This is a tough break for the Colts who rely heavily on Jones’ presence. Jones, 29, is in the second year of his five-year, $33 million contract that included a $16 million guaranteed. He stands to make base salaries of $6 million (2015), $4.5 million (2016), $6.25 million (2017) and $6.25 million (2018) over the remainder of the contract.
