Bills rookie Sammy Watkins is prepared for Darrelle Revis; “I can’t rest one play”
Sammy Watkins has been on the Pepsi Rookie of the Week multiple times this year and has been truly impressive. Well this week he will have the best match-up of his young career. He will face Darrelle Revis the best shut down corner in the game, and the young rookie is ready.
“We actually found he’s gonna be following me around the field, so I’m gonna have to be prepared for his jams,” said Watkins, according to ESPN.com. “He’s very smart. I have to be very competitive and smart off the ball.”
Revis has had an injury but it doesn’t seem to appear to be serious, setting up a match-up between two gifted players.
“I’m put to the test early. That’s what I look forward to. Going out there and competing with him. I know there’s gonna be some good and bad,” Watkins said. “But actually, it will just help our offense out with just keeping me in tune. I can’t rest one play. I’ll be engaged each play.”
The Buffalo Bills will need to get Sammy involved if they want to win this week. They will be the first time to face both Brandon Browner and Darrelle Revis. It is the first time under the Pegula era in Buffalo, I expect the fan base to be loud and this game to be close.
