CFL refuses to allow any team to place Brendan Sorsby on their Neg List

The Canadian Football League will not allow teams to sign former Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby, the league said in a statement today.
“Upholding the integrity of the league and ensuring fair competition are paramount to the CFL. The allegations involving Brendan Sorsby are serious and concerning. At this time, the CFL will not register a contract for him, and no team will be permitted to add him to its negotiation list.”
The options continue to dwindle for the former Texas Tech quarterback. The CFL season began earlier this month, and runs through mid-November.
Sorsby was under NCAA investigation for allegedly gambling on his own team’s games while a backup at Indiana and continuing to gamble on sports in violation of NCAA bylaws while at Cincinnati.
