What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2027 NFL Draft?
What would make me a top prospect in my NFL draft class is my combination of size, physicality, intelligence, and versatility. As a long corner, I can disrupt receivers at the line, shrink throwing windows, and match up with bigger receivers without losing my athleticism. I play with a physical edge that shows up in press coverage, tackling, run support, and competing for the ball every snap. What separates me from a lot of corners though is my football IQ. I understand route concepts, offensive tendencies, leverage, down and distance situations, and how to anticipate plays before they happen. I’m not just reacting out there. I’m processing the game fast and putting myself in position to make plays consistently. Coaches can trust me to communicate adjustments, recognize formations, and stay disciplined within the scheme. On top of the physical tools and mental side, I carry myself like a professional. I compete every rep, embrace film study, hold myself accountable, and bring leadership to the locker room. Teams invest highly in players they believe can elevate a defense and sustain success long term, and I believe my mindset, preparation, and ability on the field make me one of the most complete prospects in my class.
Tell me about a time you faced adversity and how you responded?
One of the biggest adversities I’ve faced was watching my Mom struggled with homelessness last year and then losing her earlier this year. That was something bigger than football and honestly one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to deal with mentally and emotionally. There were times where it would’ve been easy to lose focus, feel sorry for myself, or let everything affect my future. Going through that changed me as a man. It gave me a different level of maturity, gratitude, and perspective. I understand adversity now in a real way, and I think it made me mentally stronger and more prepared for the pressures that come with the NFL. I learned how to handle pain without folding, how to lead through difficult situations, and how to keep working even when life is hard.
What are your hobbies outside of football?
Outside of football, I like spending time reading the Bible because it helps keep me grounded mentally and spiritually. I also enjoy writing scripts for films and plays since it lets me be creative and tell stories. I model as well, and fishing is something I do to relax and clear my mind away from the game.
What role do you see yourself playing at the next level?
At the next level, I see myself being a reliable lockdown corner who can match up with bigger and more physical receivers while also bringing versatility to the secondary. I believe I can contribute early on special teams and continue developing into a complete every down defensive back who can play press man, zone, and move around depending on the scheme.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
If I could donate to one cause, it would be helping homeless individuals and families, especially in underserved communities like the ones I grew up around in Philadelphia. Seeing poverty and instability up close gave me a real understanding of how easily people can fall into difficult situations and how important support systems are. One of my long term goals is to open a rehabilitation and support center that helps people not only with housing, but also with mental health resources, job opportunities, mentorship, and rebuilding their lives. I want to use my platform to create real change and give people hope and opportunities they may not have had otherwise.
How do you handle coaching, especially criticism or being corrected repeatedly?
I handle coaching and criticism well because I understand it comes from wanting to help me improve and reach my full potential. I’ve had coaches throughout my career who coached me hard and used tough love, but I always understood it was because they believed in me and expected more from me. I’ve never taken correction personally. I try to listen, apply it immediately, and use it to make myself better. At the next level, I know coaching will be demanding and detail oriented, and I feel like my ability to accept accountability, stay coachable, and respond positively to criticism will help me continue to grow as a player and teammate.
Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?
One of the most underrated teammates at my school is Marqui Adams. He’s a true dual threat quarterback whose competitiveness really stands out. He can make plays with both his arm and his legs, and no matter the situation, he competes hard every snap and finds ways to keep the offense moving. What I respect most about him is that he leads more by example than by being vocal. He’s not someone who has to talk all the time to earn respect because his work ethic, toughness, and composure on the field speak for themselves. When teammates see him battling, extending plays, and staying locked in under pressure, it naturally pushes everybody else to compete harder too.
If you could have dinner with three people, dead or alive, who would it be and why did you choose them?
If I could have dinner with three people, I’d choose Jesus Christ, my father, and my mother. I’d choose Jesus because my faith keeps me grounded and guides how I carry myself every day. I’d choose my parents because they both had a major impact on my life, and losing my father at a young age and my mother earlier this year gave me a deeper appreciation for family, resilience, and purpose.
If you were benched tomorrow, what would be the most likely reason?
If I were benched tomorrow, it would probably be because I wasn’t meeting the standard or executing consistently the way my coaches expect me to. I hold myself accountable, so if that happened, I’d take ownership of it and focus on correcting it immediately. At the same time, I’ve been a four year starter, so I understand what it takes to stay on the field consistently. I know the importance of preparation, discipline, film study, and competing every day in practice. My mindset would be to respond professionally, keep working, and earn my way back through my performance and consistency.
Walk me through your typical pre-game routine?
My pre-game routine starts with waking up and listening to some of my favorite songs because it helps me get into a good mindset and locked in for the day. Once I arrive at the stadium, I focus a lot on activating my hips and lower body so I feel loose, explosive, and ready to move at a high level. Right before I head out with the team, I say a brief prayer to stay grounded, focused, and thankful for the opportunity to compete. After that, it’s all about locking in and playing fast and physical.
What is your favorite snack food?
My favorite snack food is Haribo gummy bears. They’ve been my go to snack for a while.
What scheme do you feel you fit the best in?
I feel like I fit best in a man to man defensive system because it allows me to use my length, physicality, and competitiveness to impact the game. I’m comfortable pressing receivers at the line, staying disciplined in coverage, and competing every snap.
What is your degree in?
BA in Liberal Studied with a minor in psychology
What would be the first thing you buy with your first NFL check?
The first thing I’d buy with my first NFL check would probably be a home. Growing up around poverty and seeing instability firsthand made me value having a place that feels secure and permanent. For me, it’s bigger than just buying something expensive it’s about creating stability and building something for my future and family.
Describe a time in a game where you feel you made a mistake, and explain how you bounced back?
I remember a game where I got too aggressive trying to jump a route and gave up a completion because I trusted my eyes too early instead of staying disciplined with my technique. As a defensive back, mistakes are going to happen, especially at a position where every play is isolated and noticeable. What helped me bounce back was my competitive nature and having a short term memory. I believe that’s one of the most valuable traits a DB can have because you can’t let one bad play affect the next one.
Name three songs, we can expect on your playlist?
I listen to a lot of different music, so it’s hard for me to narrow it down to just three songs. But if I had to pick three artists that are always in rotation, I’d say Meek Mill, Young Jeezy, and Lil Baby. Meek and Jeezy are artists I connect with because I’m young but I feel like I’ve always had an old soul and relate to a lot of the hunger, pain, and motivation in their music. Lil Baby is someone I listen to a lot because of his energy and mindset.
