Three players to watch at the NFL Scouting Combine who can increase their draft stock

The NFL Scouting Combine starts this week, and there are three players everyone needs to keep an eye on when it comes to speed. There are certain players who I feel can improve their stock and blaze a strong forty yard dash.
The three prospects widely expected to be among the fastest runners in the 40-yard dash at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, based on draft previews and scouting reports are the following players:
- Brenan Thompson – WR, Mississippi State – Thompson has been highlighted as a “blazing” wide receiver with elite straight-line speed that could put him near the top of the 40 times in Indy, with projections suggesting he could crack the mid-4.2-second range.
- Chris Hilton Jr. – WR, LSU – Listed among the top speed candidates for the 2026 combine, Hilton’s deep-threat ability and track-style pace make him a strong contender for one of the fastest recorded 40 times. This kids rise has been insane, he became the first player to attend and play in four All-Star Games.
- Demond Claiborne – RB, Wake Forest – Claiborne is often mentioned as one of the speed threats in Indianapolis, with very quick sprint times that could place him in the top tier of 40-yard performers.
Who do you think will improve their stock at the Combine?
